Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November, 1985, located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix showed an early aptitude to play sports while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting potential at the time. After her first audition, she placed in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix finished her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas a contract as a professional athlete. The following year she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. The first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, at Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record running 200m in 22.18 secs. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. She defended this title and beat her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in her respective events.
