Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion of sprinting while in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first attempt, Felix was second in the 200 meters race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a professional career with Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. The first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics held which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record the 200m race in 22.18 secs. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in running 200m. She won the title in 2007. defended the title in front of her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third of each of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
